Old school 7 and from what I am advised after consideration for an AB shirt several years ago unable to get himself back into the Highlanders shirt. Has been running a gardening business for the last few years in NZ as he needed the work.

Seems to be a tackler and a ground hog type… sort of a poor mans Henry. Maybe those that watch ITM can advise.

Jobs for the Boys
Re: Who the feck is Tim Boys?
Well it seemed like boys against men last week so we may as well go the whole hog.
However, Google Images offers further insights into his outstanding range of mullets.
A back row of Boys, Mike the Vike and Hendo the Hobo would bring any self-respecting barber out in a cold sweat.
As someone who doesn't mind keep his neck warm though, I' m all for it.

Ulster Rugby has signed former Highlanders openside flanker, Tim Boys, on a short-term contract until the end of this season.
The 30-year old New Zealander played 46 Super Rugby matches for the Dunedin franchise between 2006 and 2013 and recently made his 100th appearance for his province, Southland.
He has represented New Zealand at U19 level and was top of the tackling charts in last season’s ITM Cup with 158 tackles in 11 matches.
Commenting on his move to Ulster, Boys said:
“It has always been an ambition of mine to play in the northern hemisphere, so when Ulster Rugby offered me the opportunity to join them on a short term contract I had no hesitation in saying yes.
"They are a top Irish province, with great facilities and a passionate fan base. I am looking forward to joining up with the rest of the Ulster players as soon as possible and working hard to help the team get a play-off place in the Guinness PRO12."
Bryn Cunningham, Ulster’s Team Manager added:
“With the injury list Ulster have incurred recently it is great to be able to bring in someone of Tim’s pedigree to bolster a crucial area of the pack,” said Bryn.
“Coming into the business end of the season, it was vital we secured someone with a high level of experience capable of adapting to a new calling system quickly.
“His proven track record with the Highlanders and being renowned for his high tackle rate and disruption of opposition ball at the breakdown will hopefully result in him being integral in our bid to make the Guinness PRO12 play-offs.”
Tim will join up with the Ulster squad on 2nd February.
“That made me feel very special and underlined to me that Ulster is more than a team, it is a community and a rugby family"
