Ulster vs. Munster - 02-01-16 - 15:00

Post by ruckover »

Us on a four game win streak including taking two unbeaten home records in successive weeks, Munster off the back of just 1 point from their last 5 games. Both teams have full squads to choose from.

No need for us to be precautious, there is a real opportunity here.
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

Should be a comfortable home win given form. WBP a distinct possibility :fleg:
We dont need the English to win the European Cup

Swings and roundabouts. Murphy's Law and I could see Munster turning it around and us losing focus.

Munster will need to find a 10 from somewhere though. Lot of effort today, but went phase after phase with a random selection of 1st receivers. Keatley really must have done something special to annoy Foley because the guy they had in against Leinster was AWOL. There was a spell in the 2nd half where they went at least 5+ phases in the backs with Earls, Zebo, Saili, Scannell, etc trying to play-make.

Yup, will be interested to see how Ulster perform with the favourites tag. If the weather is half-decent we should cause them a few problems alright.
Climb up onto the top of your house and start screaming: 'stand up for the Ulstermen, stand.......'

Injuries aside do we have a full deck to choose from or is Uncle Joe holding anyone back?

Just for info - this game is on Sky Sports, there are highlights on TG4 that night at 10:20pm.

Camp Joe is apparently being held next week - so no one should be held back for that reason - Mr Kiss might make changes given we have 3 European games in a row after this game.

I could see Beagle starting, but unless Paddy feels he needs it I would keep him starting, he is in some form at the minute.

After an epic display by Funky Gibbon at the weekend - I wonder who will be in charge this week - my money's on Dudley.

I wouldn't like to see both Ruan and Paddy rested in the same match, rather they swapped one at a time though this 3 in a row SDC period is rather tricky and we will probably need a point or more at Plastic Park

As a thought my brain is fuddled with all the food and wind this past week but can anyone think of what spare backs we actually have at the moment?

Browne could stand out on the wing just as easy as he does at the rucks.

Sam Arnold. After that, I've got nathin'.

Is Gilroy back?

Are Payne's tights still laddered?
Gilroy out at least 6 weeks.
Payne only just started training again.

Paynes tights are still laddered but he was talking of training in a few weeks, the only other beside Arnold is Cave if they have his arm reattached

Gilroy has a fractured eye socket so can't see him being back for a while
