I suspect there are an injury or two not alluded to in that update, I will be surprised if Big Stu plays, though Fat Declan once of this parish, did play 2 or 3 games with a badly busted snotterbox, fair dues to him. Anyway Cave is due a game.

Girrid does not cast a clout until Septembers out, then part of October is spent warming up for the AIs before winter sets in, the himmie toituns and he then rests up for the 6Ns. Nice work if you can get it.

You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

Don't think we'll see Peikrishvili unless Kane gets injured.

Indeed, he is signed as a medical joker so it may be that he can only be used when the existing squad options are gone. Munster had a similar set up last season when they were allowed to bring in Sean Doyle for a short term deal.

BBC insisting that Girrid's tights have been darned and he will play this weekend. Well that's refreshing.

Good on ye Girrid.

With him and Charless together with the homegrown lesser lights we just might bate the Weegies. I'm assuming Charless will be on the wing.

IMHO, I would suggest that JP will start on the bench - big ask to come back in and start against the best team in the league. Unless Charles to wing and JP at FB, but just don't see it, particularly if he had a dodgy hamstring and the game on astroturf, which, good as it is, still puts a bit more through the joints and muscles than the green grass of home.

Cave and McCloskey in the centre ,JP & Olding to bench.

Presume Hendo and FDM come in for AOC & Clive. Diack did enough to keep the shirt, also probably a bit more mobile that Roger, which will help on the astroturf. I'd like to see Kane start - might as well see if he is up to it or not, but to be fair to Rodney, he's done a damn sight better than any of us expected.

Rest of the team picks itself.
