Ulster v Glasgow

Post by damianmcr »

SQUAD UPDATE

Ireland players Stu McCloskey, Luke Marshall, Tommy Bowe and Craig Gilroy are available for selection versus Glasgow this Saturday.

Ruan Pienaar, Rob Herring and Brett Herron are also in contention to return from their respective injuries.

Stuart Olding is the only player ruled out at this stage, although a number of others are carrying knocks.
Must win game for both teams. Can't see Glasgow getting many players back with the injuries Scotland picked up at the weekend.

Sounds good. Gives me some hope. With so many players now available any guesses as to the team and subs?

Joe: Tommy Bowe must have game time.

Les: FFS, plz why?

Joe: just do it and don't be a prat.

Les: he's tom kite.

Joe: do as you are told and that's an order.

Les: you can't order me.

Joe: fine, you know what comes next.

Les: don't be a prat.

Joe: How does Neil spell his name? Allen has a double 'L', yeah? *pulls out two contracts from his drawer in sealed envelopes and immaturely rattles them about to make paper noises*

Les: which wing?

Joe: *hangs up*

Why is Olding ruled out?
Any news on AOC & Cave?
Depending on fitness and availability, (Assuming no Rodney, Kane, Roger, Lyttle etc..) I'd have from what we've got:

CB RH WH

CT AOC

Reidy MC CH

RP PN

CG DC LM CP
LL

Subs:
D Shanners J Stockdale, S. McCloskey, AW JA RL PB or Franco, R Diack. RP to cover 10 if needed, otherwise full 80 for the Admirable Auburn Admiral.
Diack and Stockdale would be unlucky not to start imo. But I'd like to start with a full metal jacket pack, or at least the best we have available.
But reality is that TB will bench, which is not an incentive for Jacob, who has been much better going forward, and defensively at least par with Tammy.
Absolutely No guarantees on a win here, even though it's a must- imo this depends more on how many Weegies have available, and we've a lot of potential injury returnees at once, which doesn't bode well even under normal circumstances.
Exterminate all rational thought

Olding is out due to elbow injury. Cave following HIA protocols.

Olding picked up an injury that hasn't been specified, according to the 42.ie.

I'd expect all the 6N squad players to start. McCloskey, Marshall and Gilroy at least.

When you get your tea on Sunday.

Leaving it until after the game will allow them to make alterations to the team anywhere where there were weaknesses.
