Hope so, Matt and his family could really do with messages of support. Was speaking to his mum over Christmas and the whole family are pretty stressed. According to Big Matt its also been playing in the minds of the players to. Lets hope its all sorted on Friday and they can get back to what they do best!

Smith wouldn't have the gumption and Armitage wouldn't be man enough. Cheap shots are more his style - wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes on the pitch in the days of Willie John etc. He'd have been sorted.

Does that stand for Bad Boy?

I would hope that when the "misunderstanding" has been clarified, Mr Smith will of course apologise for his comments especially those regarding the "mob".

Providing of course that the apology is signed in his own blood!

Couldn't be: a Ball Bag performs a useful function, more than can possibly be said of Mr Armitage.

Just have to comment!! Stand behind Matt 100%-reckon it was 'local' slang, and nothing racist at all. We've been there, done that-much to our chagrin..why doesn't this crap stay on the field, and not stick to player? It can have such an impact on their future. I,personally, will be watching for Smiths' ?backtrack ?apology- and hope this is resolved certainly by early next week.

I just hope this does not become some stupid political statement type situation. Matt is clear on racial abuse. He has admitted to use of abusive language and apologised. Lets hope the game administrators leave it at that, rather than decide to take a public stance against sledging. Using that to justify player misconduct will certainy take this in a new direction, and keep it running on and ......

And I doubt an apology will ever be forthcoming. Rugby is a competetive, results driven business.
