Re: The Pack

Agree that we now have real competition for places in the pack. Delighted for Nick Williams - he has been awesome in the games so far. Herring looks like a 'find'. It will be anoyher huge test next week

Re: Anscombe breathes a sigh of relief

Has anyone been listening? We don't care what his past record is, we don't care who he has coached or what happened there. All we care about is that he is now the new Ulster Rugby head coach and is the person who Logie and DrDave believe will take us forward - and I for one don't doubt those two fo...

Re: Next NIQ

Al this talk about the next world class NIQ player coming in, but where are we going to get the money to pay for him for the next 2 or 3 years? In my opinion, Ulster Rugby have done their best to keep season ticket price increases to a minimum and there appears to be sponsors names everwhere you loo...

Re: Race for 4th spot

I fear that we will miss out on a q/f place because of the horror show home defeat to Treviso (but take noting away from Treviso, they made fewer mistakes than we did and they were good enough to take full advantage of our mistakes!!!!) along with our away form which has been patchy with only 2 wins...

Re: Ulster v Aironi

Humphreys had a good game bar that ridiculous pass in the first half. The waited pass for Paddy was sheer class. Good to see he's at least regained a little bit of form after being dropped, yet his tackling still needs a little bit of work. That said, the entire team weren't great in defence to be ...

Re: Munster Leinster

I would be more hopeful of a result against Munster than Leinster at the minute. Strenght and depth of the squad has led to Leinster to walk away with the league and I think most people would se them as the team to beat in the HEC. I heard that Richhard Strauss becomes IQ in the near future - is tha...

Re: Ulster v Aironi

Agree with all the comments saying we should start the Aitoni game with the 15 that will start gainst Munster. I heard reports that Muller 'limped off' against Treviso - can anyone confirm this? We need to hit Aironi hard from the kick off and ensure that there are no opportunities butchered. We mus...

Re: Ulster v Aironi

McGlock favours the RP/IH as his half backs when the chips are down. In his defence, IH is (over)due a good game and what better time to prove his doubters wrong than in the next 2 games. The coach has a few decisions to make - D'Arcy or Terblanche, who partners Paddy in the centre. It's not just th...

Ulster v Aironi

Now that we've 1 Italian job done and dusted, we will be using the Aironi game to get Ferris, Best & Trimble a little game time. McGlock should start the Aironi game with the team he expects to start against Munster with Piennar at 9, iHumph at 10. Were there any injuries after the Treviso game?

Re: Race for 4th spot

We should be getting all 5 points, and if we get our Irish guys back and play well I can see us beating Aironi by 40+ points. Take 5 points from that, 4 points at Connacht, 1 point vs Munster and the full 4 against Leinster and we should be fine. Worried most about Leinster, hopefully they rest the...
