Re: Leinster v Ulster Sat 8 June @ 5pm
I think we have poked the bear enough this year for leinster to unleash something of an A team this weekend to put us back in our box. Anything other than a complete capitulation will be a positive end to the season in my eyes. Just hope we have enough in the tank emotionally to go 3 weeks in a row....

Leinster it is. Hopefully they get the Saturday afternoon slot, you'd expect Glasgow to want the Friday night game.

The bench making the difference. We are tiring which is not the fault of the players. Losing 4 from the starting team early on was always going to be too big a mountain to climb. Cant fault the effort.

Ospreys could still get 8th place also with a BP win. Would still have to win the whole thing to deny ulster champions Cup.jean valjean wrote:Yes unless the lions win the urc title.HammerTime wrote:So is that Heiny confirmed?

Good job lions took the points there. We can afford them to win but not with a BP.

The chances of the 8th place team winning the tournament are next to zero, so even if ulster finish 7th you'd be fairly confident of champions Cup rugby next year. In that case a stormers win of any kind is enough for us.

Re: Live Stream, Q & A Tuesday May 28
Enjoyed hugh being as scathing as a CEO can about about the press coverage of the new kit deal. He was at pains to say this was the best kit deal ulster have ever had and that the forced cut price deal story was absolute nonsense.

Re: Rugby on the Box
The BBC NI contract for Ulster games in the URC is up in the Summer, interesting to see if they renew etc. Question at the forum suggested tv was impacting on attendances in person. Not sure if this is the case, but it would certainly be useful if the bbc tried to show more of the away games which ...

Re: Live Stream, Q & A Tuesday May 28
Whats the verdict on the event? I thought Hugh and Ritchie spoke well and I would have confidence in them both. The financial situation appears to have been allowed to get out of control, and for that petrie has to carry the blame. Not sure how he puts any kind of a positive spin on it at his next j...

Superb game at a level ulster can only dream about. Doris's brain dead penalty was the killer for me. Maybe he was starting to believe his antics at the breakdown were invisible.

Re: Other Champions / Challenge Cup
Tmo got that wrong. Ball was on the ground but short. It was held up over the line following the 2nd shove. Communication failure as carly was confirming it ended up over the line but didn't see the grounding. Case of 2+2=5.
