Re: Idiots at the game

I had a great time at the game and afterwards, most Munster fans were very good losers. To be honest I was more disappointed with a few of my fellow Ulster fans. I disagree with people bringing a Northern Ireland flag along and wish they would bring something else as we arent just a 6 county team, b...

Re: Well Done

Cheers Shan. Great stadium and all but one of the Munster fans I spoke to were very generous. The odd man out was blocked and couldnt speak at all :-) My main regret is just going up and down in the day and not staying the night before or after.

Re: Positives and Negatives: Munster V Ulster

You know, whilst this was possibly our best ever result outside of 1999, I think it was miles away from our best performance. We were so clinical for the first 30 minutes, and we defended really really well but some aspects of our play offensively after the first 1/4 or so were pretty poor, you woul...

Re: Player Management - the road to Twickers....

I dont think we should bin the rest of the League season. Dont let Ferris near a pitch outside of the ERC.

Aside from Ferris give all the front 15 a game off out of 2.

Euro Crisis

Hi Folks,

Any idea if there is a euro ATM in the Europa bus station?

I just realised I am down to my last 15 euro, not likely enough to get some beers and a couple of burgers in Thomond. Failing that any idea if there is an ATM in or very close to the ground?

Re: Contracts.

Heard from a couple of different sources that BMcL looks like he might say foxtrot oscar to Dr H and abandon the idea of becoming head of the Academy. Apparently the Master Race are creating a new DoR role at the school and he'll also be taking up the reins at Instonians. Anyone else heard this? As...

Trimble in an Ireland top

He seems to look really nervous and not relaxed at all in green. When he plays for Ulster he looks confident, hungry for work, powerful and aggressive. Compare that with 3 6 nations games where he had a quiet game (Wales) and quietish game bar a very nice try (Italy) and a pretty poor game (France)....

Re: RTe 6 Nations pundits

I watch the match on BBC HD, listen to the half time banter and post match stuff on RTE. RTE commentators are a bit sycophantic for my liking, but their half time show is much more interesting and irish centric than BBCs which I like. On Sky the regular BBC looks 3 times as nice as RTE pictures, so ...

Re: Squad v Dragons

Wallace, Tuohy & Henry have been released by Ireland and are available. Is Henry's release an indication that they expect Ferris to be available for France and therefore Chris need not hang about the squad unnecessarily?? Maybe, or it is an indication that he isnt next in line for a backrow spo...

Re: Ireland v Wales

Pretty much what was expected. Disappointed but not surprised that Tuohy and Henry arent on the bench. Would have started Ryan and dropped DOC entirely from the squad. Relieved Trimble has been selected at all. Regarding O'Mahony, I've seen him four times and been reasonably impressed, he had a stor...

Re: Saxons v Wolfhounds

Bit of a dull game. Kearney was by a long way Irelands top player. Looked very good. He seems to be getting stick but I thought Keatley wasnt terrible, made a few errors but looked lively. From an Ulster point of view Spence didnt do much but wasnt rubbish. Tuohy was OK. Henry made a very noticeable...
