You've got to get your first tackle in early, even if it's late.

Ulster by 5 points in a scrappy high scoring game with neither team wanting to risk getting hurt at this stage in the season.

Am I just hopelessly pessimistic then, Leinster to cruise this match.
Their side just looks too strong, if they're up for it they could win by 15pts.
Without Rory, Ferris and Afoa we are considerably weaker, hope I'm
proved wrong though.

The usual
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Game to be even steven for 50 then Schmidt takes off seven frontliners to conserve for ASM Clermont.
Ulster pull away to win by 10.
Still, it will be a good blow out in the first half.

It will go one of two ways, either a close tight game initially which will turn into a game of 'chicken', who will leave their top guys on longest, Leinster likely to blink first in this case as they really have nothing to gain, Ulster by 3-5 points.

Or Leinster will blow us off the park, and Ill be crying into my pint (s!!)

I predict a fairly stale low-scoring affair tonight. Realistically there are either zero or one starting positions up for grabs for next week, so I think this could actually help PJ out. There'll probably be a few penalties, and I'd imagine we'll be happy to sling it wide and avoid a narrow-game slogfest.

I started by saying it'd be stale and low-scoring, and ended by saying it's going to be an open, backs-driven game. I haven't a clue how it'll go. But I think we'll be look at a low intensity affair.

Hopefully we'll win the game with a catch and drive from a lineout, shuffle the ball to Pedrie who drives over. Would be a nice send-off.

I think it's going to be scrappy, minds on next week. Don't think we can deal with Leinster around the break down, question marks around our scrum in terms of front row, we're missing a few of our big players which effects us more than them..... Leinster win 23-16 Hoping PJ plays well and the THP puzzle is solved by big performances from Dec and Macklin. Their bench looks a lot more experienced than ours might be a factor..........

Our scrum will be under extreme pressure tonight, but I believe Ruan will be the big factor for us. Any penalties from 60m out he will have a pop. I just can't see us winning this one, but I'm hoping to be proved wrong and will be delighted if that is the case.
