Is Dylan Hartleythe most objectionable scumbag in rugby hist
The most objectionable scumbag in rugby history?
Re: Is Dylan Hartley......
Feel sorry for Dylan, The Lions is the pinnacle for any rugby player in these isles and while he has no-one but himself to blame after being given a fantastic opportunity he will have to live with the regret of missing out for the rest of his life and I think that's sad...

He really only needs time served for the offenses of testicle grabbing and assaulting a fan to have a complete list. But even with that complete list I would still expect the Northampton and England management to pick him.
No matter how obnoxious Hartley''s actions on a rugby pitch Brennan assaulting a spectator is far far worse.

I agree. Dont think that much of him but it is a hard medicine to be dropped. He may learn from it.scrum5 wrote:Feel sorry for Dylan, The Lions is the pinnacle for any rugby player in these isles and while he has no-one but himself to blame after being given a fantastic opportunity he will probably have to live with it for the rest of his life and I think that's sad...
Brennan on the other hand

We dont need the English to win the European Cup

Doubt it, he didn't learn from missing the last lions tour through ill discipline nor from missing out on the world cupnamron wrote:I agree. Still think we'll see him at the Hill next season
The ultimate irony when he has to kiss Rory's boots when we again draw the Saints in the H-cup
He'll get some welcome

Always highly regarded Brennan when he played but voted for him.

Hartley is a weapons grade plank ... a tool ... a boil on the skin of the game ... we really don't need to feed egos like that by acknowledging them.
There are plenty of real sportsmen who are worthy of threads and comments due to what they bring to the game instead of focusing on turds like this.
I was really touched when Jonny Sexton ran up to Jacko before kick off while they were warming up and they both hugged - it seemed very genuine and mutual respect. Wee bit more of this stuff and less of self inflated gabsheens please,

He's probably alright off the pitch.
On it he's an embarrassment and a liability.
I'm amazed that any coach would trust him with the armband and still staggered that Gatland considered that he had a suitable temperament to play a key role on this tour.

Delon Armitage or Ashton are higher up the list in my opinion.
Funny though, it's always English players!
