I overheard one of the Banbridge club men saying that the pitch was only laid in August and that they only have one more game to go on it this season.damianmcr wrote:I'm no expert but does that pitch look tom kite to anyone else?
Maybe they don't want to cut it down too much in its first season? I don't know.
Another vote for Ophir as well. Bad enough trying to crawl through the mud, but the gale force wind coming in horizontally certainly doesn't help.
It is hard enough to remember my opinions, without also remembering my reasons for them

Yes it is a brand new pitch. Long gone is the lovely hill in the bottom corner used to pin many a visiting 3rd XV back in their cornerTheWonDon wrote:I overheard one of the Banbridge club men saying that the pitch was only laid in August and that they only have one more game to go on it this season.damianmcr wrote:I'm no expert but does that pitch look tom kite to anyone else?

Re: Not the Ulster Ravens
Ophir a bit special, pitch across the road from the club at Hinch up there with the best, but the worst I think I ever tried to catch a ball and run on was the Donnybrook of the early noughties before they put floodlights on the practice pitch.Russ wrote:BallynahinchKofi Annan wrote:Colin , name worse, I will start with OphirColinM wrote:I've played on worse
