Zebre in Parma - Feb 2017
A wee bit away I know, but just trying to pre-plan a trip to Parma
It would appear RUINair don't do direct flights to Parma at that time of year (nothing on website)
Do any of the regular travellers know how easy it is to get from Milan Linate to Parma by train/bus, and does it entail travelling from the airport into Milan central to get the bus to Parma ?
Cheers

Bus to the main train station, then a very enjoyable train journey through the Italian countryside to Parma. Transfer from airport around 20 mins, then roughly 90 mins on the train.

Will be heading to Parma in Feb, it's a great spot. No idea of a day/kick off time yet - it is a 6N weekend ( Sat - Sco-Wales 14:25, Ire-Fra 16:50 & Sun Eng-Ita 15:00), so no doubt the games will be scheduled to avoid any clashes.
Also anyone know pubs that would show the games in Parma? The Irish pub - Dubh Linn would prob, but does not open until 7pm at night (Mon-Sat) and is closed on Sun...

Sounds a bit less hassle than travelling from Milan .. big city !
Do you have any details/prices of airport to Bologna station or Bologna to Parma ?

Have taken the Milan train on the return journey the last couple of years, followed by the the bus to the Bergamo airport. Easy enough but might have a think about Bologna.

We're that close to Stansted, we're generally prepared to fly to a different country than traipse down to Heathrow!

A 50 mile trip across the Herts/Middlesex border to Heathrow is easier than a 300 mile trip across Franc/Italy - surely
