La Rochelle are dangerous a free flowing style of play which likes to counter attack against disorganised defences and Ulster can become disorganised at the drop of a hat

If Henderson is Captain again he or who ever is captain must take every opportunity to instill discipline and focus into his team mates.

It will be one of those games where Ulster come away with a losing bonus or are made to look dullards and given the current away form the latter looks the more possible.

Could really do with Gladstone Small back at 13 since DC won't get a look in.

If anyone has a clue it will be Gibbes he has played them before albeit with a much better pack.... I predicted Diack’s soft hands would leave Hughes for dead... in Folk we trust..

If AOC fit then would seriously consider Putting Hendy in the backrow to start alongside Deysel and Henry, with Reidy on the bench. Tough on Reidy but we need that extra power in the backrow to try and fight fire with fire there.

If Ulster are to compete then it needs Hendy to have one of this games where he explodes into life and does just about everything.

Still reckon we shall be well beaten.

I reckon ulster's best chance of a point is probably 4 tries rather than a losing bp. Confident we'll get a couple of tries and then as they tire or switch off kater when the game may well be one we may get a chance for the 4 try bp.

Our defence has stepped up considerably over the past couple of games but even if were well drilled, with the oersonnel we have this would be a real defensive challenge. La Rochelle are up for Europe this season and at home this could be a long and painful afternoon for us.

I wouldn't be dropping Reidy for anyone. He's exactly the type of player we will need. He will tackle everything and will make significant yards going forward. For me it's AOC or Henry.

Fair enough Dave. My thinking was a breakdown man to add to the power of Red and Hendo in the backrow mix and that Reidy on after 50 could add real impetus from the bench. If Chad doesn't start then question would be his value off the bench vs say C Ross who has improved and may be a better impact option. Controversial i know!

Of course game could be over by then so Reidy to start is a fair call.

Was impressed with their big second row shaped like a prop. Was still going strong after 70 mins at quins, so their fitness levels may not be that much poorer. What they and other French teams don't like is to defend for long periods of time. Keeping ball is the key, jonno has our clear outs working better but we need to be ruthless this weekend as if even one of their players gets locked on it is turnover time.

Qove I think he was called? Looked like no second row that I'd ever seen. His lifters had their work cut out for them.
