Sorry to lose Eddie Large. A comic from the days when comedy was a lot more innocent than today. Never knew he was originally from Glasgow.

Then again there were Roy Chubby Brown, Bernard Manning, Freddie Starr and Jim Davidson. Maybe not such an innocent age.solidarity wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 9:44 pm Sorry to lose Eddie Large. The wonderful Honor Blackman. One of the early Bond girls starring in Goldfinger and John Steed's first female sidekick in the Avengers.

The Virginian has ridden off into the sunset. So long, James Drury.

The Virginian was on Fri nigjts in the 60s. Early memories aged 5/6 watching Crackerjack (in those days with Leslie Crowther) followed by a bath, tea and the Virginian. I can only remember Trampas though.

Often wondered about that. In the Westerns cowpokes are always banging on about the quality of campfire coffee when in reality, is must have been pure stinkin'pwrmoore wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 9:39 pmbig mervyn wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 7:52 pm The Virginian was on Fri nigjts in the 60s. Looks like Jimmy Greaves might be appearing on this page soon. One of my first sporting heroes.

Tim Brooke-Taylor and Stirling Moss on the same day. Someone must be able to think of a link, preferably a witty one.
