Re: PADDY JACKSON
Watched LI play the Saints last night -- Barnes was the ref and Irish didn't get any 50/50 calls but in the end were well beaten . It sort of put the Ulster game in context the Saints are a top four side -- not great team but based on a BIG Bullying Pack who chewed LI to bits with Biggar at out half to keep the forwards on the front foot.

LI are good to watch going forward but their defence is non existent at times. They've conceded over 20pts a game on average but sure they have an ex international defence coach in place so it will come good.

Re: PADDY JACKSON
not one of LI better games -- the result hinged on a yellow card where the carrier was ducking into the tackle which might have been sufficient grounds to avoid the card -- and Paddy was not at his best behind a pack lacking dominance and a defence like a sieve .
I refer to the yellow card as the factor behind the loss because without the try during the time the player was off the pitch the last penalty would have been sufficient to win -- personally i thought the last penalty was connived more accidental than deliberate .
And possibly raising a matter for debate can a maul become a a pre ruck , ie a tackler is holding a player up and opposition bring the maul to the ground why is the restart a scrum and not a penalty ???
And what decision would Murphy give when refereeing Ulster in their own half with 5 minutes to go .???

Starts in Galway tonight, even with 3rd rate rugby outlets (rugbypass) trying to resurrect hashtags and stir trouble.

Re: PADDY JACKSON
Did Paddy get on the scoresheet?
Was there any protest at the ground?

Hi Solids
Paddy kicked 3 out of 4 conversions in first half, whole team was changed at halftime, no mention of any protests in press and didn't see any banners etc in the ground.

Good... on both counts.
Re: PADDY JACKSON
L I were 31-14 down to Sale Sharks at halftime but fought back in second half to end 31-31 unfortunately Paddy missed an awkward conversion early on convertes the try with 4 minutes left and had a chance to win the match on the final whistle but his 60 mt penalty struck the left upright.
