Not sure if the snapper was doing exposures back then.

Twice as many home fans there as there used to be.

BUT

They’ve given that bar under the stand to the prawn sandwich brigade.
You can no longer by wine by the bottle.
There was no red or white wine at all, only the fizzy stuff.
They ran out of fizzy stuff (which is particularly poor, even by Ulster standards, given they produce millions of litres of it around the corner)

JP ‘fronted up’ before and after the game.

The Ulster lineout today must have been the first time there has ever been a lack of jumpers in Benetton.

Can’t get my head round how we can’t close out a game. Is it lack of leaders on the pitch? What’s the answer?

Close out a game?

Kingy we led that game for about 30 seconds, we had nothing to close out. Closing out the game was not the problem today, our inability to turn up and put in a performance of any note killed us.

Gotta be honest, winning that one would have been theft.
We were leading with 5 minutes to go AGAIN and we lost the game. If that not closing out a game then I don’t know what is Image

Amazingly and without any right, we were being handed the game at 75 mins with the penalty try.
We then won possession from the restart.........And Conney kicked it back to them AGAIN ( presumably missing touch with his kick but who knows what he meant!) They run it back.......And JC is caught wandering about offside. Criminal. Useless. Unf***ing believable.

He can sod off . Cannot be forgiven.

Hardly surprising since the average UAFC member is so old that they actually remember ulster competing for trophies!

Not so long ago how many of the same 'supporters' above were thinking we were competing in the URC and Europe .. all need to take a step back .. we are not as good as we thought we were this time last year but we haven't suddenly become a bad team either ... this group deserves are TOTAL support until the end of the season at least .. we may have lost a few but at the same time they were games we could have / should have won ... we have not suddenly become a bad team since we fekked it up at the RDS .. after the Logan shambles we have been moving in the right direction in spite of some awful feck signings ... a rethink is needed but we can do that at the end of the season and see who is worth keeping and who should fek off because unless things change then change should happen .. and those blazers who pull the right strings in the IRFU need to worry more about Ulster than the IRFU

That was poor and lazy alright. Ulster have one of the biggest left boots in the game with Jacob Stockdale, yet it was never used when clearing in our 22.

Very poor. Cooney was poor and argumentative with some players as well. Needed Rory to give him a kick up the hole a La Paul Marshall vs Glasgow.

Still producing a lack of players. Bryn Cunningham coming out every year saying we need to sign a couple of players from other provinces (Leinster) shouldn’t cut it. There are well over 2million people in the province, more than enough to support a thriving academy, yet there will only be 1 or 2 players good enough to start for the Irish u20s this season and the ulster u18’s got whitewashed and hammered in every game.

The academy has barely improved in the past 5 seasons. Signing rejects from Leinster will never get Ulster anywhere but nearly rans. Look at the amount of absolute muck in the ulster squad. You can’t expect to win tight professional games of rugby when you’re carrying two or three players that are little more than AIL 1 quality.

Even Munster are starting to churn out quality young fellas nowadays. They have half the population, but a significantly stronger club scene to fall back on.

People are giving Bell a hard time, & rightly so. But if you can onto the URC stats page and scroll down to turnovers won & conceded. Ulster are comfortably amongst the worst in the league. Ulster coughing up the e ball way to easily this season.

Sorry , Bell is not very good and neither is Newby at that
Meanwhile, former All Black, Craig Newby, joined Ulster last summer on a one-year deal as Skills Coach from his role as Director of Rugby at St. John’s School in Leatherhead. Newby also held roles as England U20 Women’s Forwards Coach and was involved in the coaching setup for both Wasps U18s and Harlequins U16s. He has signed on with the province for a further two years
Someone tell me he is better than Campbell ?

So , we also now have a sports Psychologist brought in last year at the expense of a lot of dosh, not worth it , nice chap etc but a new head coach will have to swing the axe.

With regards Dan , what has he improved since he joined , go on tell us .

Petrie, time is running out , stop all the fluffy stuff, stop trying to reinvent the wheel, you are losing rugby supporters , Ulster Rugby is not a circus.

Academy : And KOTH might answer this, what big potential is coming through ?
