Highlight(s) of the season?
Well, the season is almost over and what a season it has been. There have been various up's and down's, from losing to Treviso at Raver's to beating Munster at Thomand.
We started well, 3 from 3 and then fell apart. Then the RWC came around, players left, and well, the less said the better I suppose. There was massive trasnformation after Christmas though, beating Munster and Edinburgh in convincing style. The real turning point for me was the Edinburgh game at Murrayfield, from then one we were 'flying'. And look where we are now. Potential HEC finalists. It has been a truly terrific season.
I'm sad to see player's move on, Whitten, Faloon, Humph, Porter, Kyri, and of course the irreplaceable Pedrie. But credit to them all, the most of them put their all in to every game when they got the oppurtunity. But as I've said, credit to everyone associated to UR. The coaches, the players, and us, the fans, for sticking by the team on the stinkin' nights at Ravers, to getting hoarse after magnificant victories against Leicester and Munster.
For me, my hightlights of the season all come in the HEC, Leicester at home, Clermont away and Munster away will be sticking to mind. But of course, the highlight is still to come, the pinnacle of European Rugby, the HEC final. What are your highlights?

Gotta be the final whistle at Thomond. There were tears, after 13yrs, we are back!
Gonna Party Like It's 1999

Swing Low

Thomond park.
At FT, I was surpringly calm and collected for about 2minutes I just took it all in and try to collect as many memories as possible, obviously knowing that it will be one of those moments we'll be remembering for decades to come.
Lows - Far too often we've played woeful rugby when messrs Ferris, Wallace, Pienaar, Muller and Best were unavailable or rested. I don't think there is a team in the NH that relies so much on their 5 top players, without them we're bordering on useless!!!

Hugh Farrelly's daily rants are my personal highlight
Tom Court proving time and again he is the best loosehead in the NH is another
Low, obviously Treviso
Biggest high - the kiddies at Leinster on Boxing Day! Felt like a win

First 20 minutes and thomond park and seeing munster kick for the corner when they got a pen instead of taking the 3. Knew they were rattled and thought from then on "we're gona win this". Followed by 60 minutes of torture and pure pandemonium at the end.
Thumping Leicester at home while ben youngs had a strop was also a personal favourite.
Obvious low point is losing at home to treviso

Thomond.
Sat in the toilets from 53 mins - 65 mins.
Simply couldn't bear the torture. After 70, knew we'd hang in there for glory.
Also, Loved the banter with the Munster fans afterwards. Top bunch of people.

Re: Highlight(s) of the season?
mmm, thomand was too stressful to be my high point.... For a carnival atmosphere and sheer good craic, I enjoyed the semi-final, however, for a near perfect team performance it was to be the tigers at home. Clermont at home was fun too.
Treviso at home was horrific.

Climb up onto the top of your house and start screaming: 'stand up for the Ulstermen, stand.......'

19th May irrespective of the result.

Meant to say ''potential HEC winners.''

Winning the Heineken Cup
Gotta be Thomond. Absolutely phenomenal effort by players and fans alike. Don't think I've ever been at another game where I cheered so much at the final whistle!

You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.
Re: Highlight(s) of the season?
thomond park. easily. despite the civic pride and generally amazing occasion that was the semi final, the quarter final wins hands down for sheer drama, excitement and tension. the feeling at the final whistle was something that i haven't experienced for a long time.
