Silly season fever

Post by davejohnston »

The rugby season is over, marching season is upon us. It's still 4-5 weeks till the next match.... I just can't take it anymore !!!

As I trawl the papers for news I'm driving myself crazy.
How does everyone else cope during the summer without a few matches ?

Currently having 2 quiet weeks, back 3 weeks pretending to work, then off to my hovel for 2 weeks, bingo, hitting September.

I suppose it also helps if you can churn out endless bullshit about things loosely related to rugby, or not at all, chastise the odd chube here & there, drink in moderately impressive quantities & have 4 dogs to keep fed & watered...... oh aye and two dependent adults who seem happy not to seek independence.

Best of all the impending joy of the return of Guinness to our wee stadium. :stout:

It was the lovely Carly Simon who sang: "We can never know about the days to come, but we think about them anyway", "Anticipation, Anticipation, is making me late, is keeping me waiting" wee Carly must have loved stout. :stout:
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.
