The Exodus Continues

Post by horslips »

Neil Best now apparently signed for Northampton. Official announcement soon ( though probably not from UR)!

Harrison set to go to Bath following his medical.

McCullough now in discussions with 3 other clubs ( English and French).

ps Note from Mike Reid

Could all spectators attending future matches at Ravenhill please bring their boots.

Is all this definite, or just a rumour? Where did the latest Best, McCullough and Harrison stories come from?

Harrison wouldnt be a great loss, he has been patchy for the last year or so. We need to make sure we keep McCullough. If so we would have 3 decent 2nd rows, and could look to bring a youngster in to cover injuries and play 20 minutes here and there - though I cant think of any young locks on the books?

If McCullough goes that is a different story. We would need to go out and spend some cash on a good player.

Best is gone, the deal is finalised!

Harrison and McCullough would like to stay but why? fearing next season would be waste of their time without any chance of competing at any level.

Harrison is out looking for a new club - he's not staying.

Gentlemen, Ladies

This post is ridiculous! In fact it is scandalous!

What is the factual basis for such an outrageous allegation?

Doesn't need any facts or proof that's why it's still a rumour, if and when it becomes true it will then probably get upgraded back to the "View frae thae Hill"

I see.

The rumours are having an effect further field. search the internet and you will see, not very clever if you ask me. Also much what is said above is being presented as FACT not a view, opinion, or rumour.

Just my view don't mean to offend anyone.

Northampton, riding high in the First Division, are already planning for life back in the Premiership by holding talks with Sale's Ben Foden and Ulster's Neil Best.

It's no secret Harrison will be leaving. His 3 year contract is up and UR would be remiss offering him another on current wages, given his age. Great servant and, if he retires, then I would hope Williams would offer him a coaching role.

There is also a rumour that we are trying to sign Evans and Flavell, is there a problem with that or is it only rumours about existing players that are a problem Captain Chaos ?
As long as the rumours are not a verbal attack or libellous accusations on individuals I see nothing wrong with them, there will always be rumours in the press so why not here, I'm sure if they overstep the mark the mods will remove.

BIG Chief

Suffice to say my sources provide reliable and accurate information on the internal workings of UR.

Captain Chaos

What can I say - 2 out 3 points made in the original post confirmed!!!! None of these were based on wild speculation or idle rumour but on solid facts.

Just making the point, do,nt mean to offend anyone
