McCann and Doak excellent also, some cracking young lads.

Puzzling how Matt Rea gets ahead of McCann

You can’t help but feel that it would have been a very different game if it had been played in front of a packed Ravenhill crowd!
Hope is not a strategy.

That is because the coach viewed Matt Rea as the better option.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Not got tv coverage so can't see it, have been told there were some SR fans in the ground. Not sure if it's BS?
Probably spared us getting into a position to bottle the complete come back.

Kicking in the second half was far better. Pinned LR back rather than just hoofing it in the air.
It’s been a while since we saw some fight.
The LR fatties got a bit tired and pinning them back frustrated them. Well done for that second half lads.
Please learn from it.

Wise up - for all the positives we lost - Ulster were crap in the first half and La Rochelle switched off in second half - the underlying problems still exist 🙄

Once he played a bit more off the cuff he was certainly a step up. Ulster have missed having a 10 who can throw a fast skip pass to 13. With a fit and firing back 3 we need to get the ball wide quickly at times.
Agreed. Billy is not a great passing 10.
He's not a great 10 full stop

How the fcuk can a player move to an unfamiliar position and be so much better than the supposed specialist? Burns should be sent back home.

This, LR switches off in the 2nd half. Always felt they had another gear if they needed it.

Such a pity we can’t keep Rory. He’s an absolute cracker. Tbh as good as Kitshoff is, I wouldn’t be too upset if that deal fell through and we kept Rory.

He is, tbf though he cost us a try in the first half
You've got to get your first tackle in early, even if it's late.
