I don't think Carter's ever been as bad as some on this board think. He's a good, reliable pro. I think the expectation that an NIQ signing should automatically be a better class of player than the local boys has hurt him in the eyes of fans. Apart from that year on his contract, that he had no intention of honouring because covid made him homesick. Despite being back home for most of it. Anyway, Jono Gibbes passed on his cure as he finds himself now in Japan.
