Re: HEC 1/4 Final Ulster Rugby V Saracens

Just thought that i would add that on the Saracens forum they are enquiring whether they need to re-new passports (Without a hint of irony)

Re: Saracens V's Ulster HEC

OK assuming McComish and not Wilson, I am going to play the old "Who would make the combined team game" and this is especially difficult in this one as the two teams are so evenly matched.

Re: Who was the Ulster MOTM against Saints?

John Afoa; The King (of Payne) orchestrated it from the back but the win was build on negating the Saints much vaunted (and now obliterated by us) front row. While this was a collective effort (and Tom Court magnificent too, Rory looses a point or two for wayward darts at the end, but I think that w...

Re: Who was your Ulster MOTM vs Edinburgh?

Not sure about Gilroy- a bad decision is a bad decision. Not sure he has maturity to be that selective yet. Dont think it was all McComish,s fault totally at breakdown (Nick and Wilson not a great balance to begin with) but he is not doing enough or getting there early enough for me. Link work was g...

Re: Who was your Ulster MOTM vs Edinburgh?

McComb for me; he really had a great al round game and just to vary it a bit. Payne was, of course, sheer class and he and Pienaar were the best players on the pitch by some distance. Gilroywas amazing attacking threat but the howler trying to run our of defence was unforgivable. McComish linked wel...

Planet Rugby Team of the HEC Tournament 2011/12

Heineken Cup Team of the Tournament 15 Rob Kearney (Leinster): The Ireland full-back's ERC Player of the Year award speaks for itself. That said, if this team had been picked after the pool stages it would have been tough to leave out Mike Brown, who scored five tries for Harlequins. But Kearney was...

Re: rate the players...............taken from telegraph

One day very rarely proves anything in rugby, except for who gets to take a trophy home. I backed Jackson to start the match and I'll back him to start next season as well. He has shown that he has everything needed in his locker at various times. What he needs now is practice executing them at top...

Re: Mexicans

There was some smugness but generally I found the Leinster fans to be exceptionally gracious and right good craic but then I have never subscribed to this notion of bullet headed Dubs. Mind you the four directly in front of us at the game (raising again the question of Leinster in middle of UR seaso...

Re: What shirt are you wearing for the final??

While I respect the suite of option I think White should be favoured; try and get as much White (with red accents) as possible. I am wearing retro 70s White, with red letters (See if you can guess what the six letters, white on red diamond patches, on the back of our groups shirts will spell out
