Re: New Coach

Friend has already left the sevens job. No reason they couldn’t announce if it was him.

Andrew Friend

I don’t think it’s Friend. He’s not currently working, finished with the sevens team after the Commonwealth Games. From the three listed Mallinder, Friend and Moore, Moore is the only one working. The few weeks notice sounds like someone working with a side in Europe waiting for their league season ...

Re: Who will decide

Could some one ask the URSC to clarify their input to the advert from rugby fans in the telegraph Just to confirm that the URSC had no part in the Bel Tel advertisement from “concerned fans”. URSC doubts that any of the 139 who contributed financially to the advertisement are amongst its 938 strong...

Re: Who will decide

newseditor@belfasttelegraph.co.uk Thats the news desk contact email. Get in touch and let the feckers know how you feel about the ad. I sent my email 5 minutes ago, it won't make a blind bit of difference but I feel better for it. They probably can't refuse the ad as long as it is legal. Yes, proba...

Re: Who will decide

I wonder how many of these 'Concerned Fans' that placed the advertisement in the Telegraph are actual fans of Ulster Rugby - or even club rugby. Maybe they could enlighten everyone about their loyalty to either Ulster or their local clubs. That’s what I thought. They don’t represent fans, so I’ve l...

Re: Ulster Rugby Round-Up podcast

Do we have a better chance against Glasgow’s seconds than we did against Scarlets?
Is it worth braving Arctic conditions at Ravenhill, to watch a repeat of last week?
Will Ulster be better because they are at home?

Re: Replacement 10

When you think you’ve seen it all. A last second drop kick to lose at home, the new hope at 10 wrecked, multiple kicks charged down, Tommy Bowe’s last game, should be, and the Cooney is off to join Ireland. The Scarlets match could be a massive disaster.

Kiss gone with immediate effect

Can’t help but think this is more to do with season ticket sales than current position. Will Ulster not amble to the end of the season regardless of Kiss in or now out. In the press release, is the job not Gibbes? I read here about other people coming in as DOR, but the Ulster Rugby statement sugges...

Re: Ulster Rugby Round-Up podcast

Who will be our out half in February?
Jared Payne, is he nearly fit?
Who in the playing for a club in Ulster would be good enough to get a contract?

Will the local press analyse effectively, if we lose to the Southern Kings?

Re: Ulster v Leinster

Is coaching the problem? The lineout seemed individual problems, throwing and jumping. We failed to pass and catch. Decisions, Stockdale’s quick line out and then kick out on the full, just like Lealiifano did against Wasps. I thought Rory was honest in interview after match, but we hear the same ev...

Re: Lealiifano Signs

So, in the pipeline, no word from UR, season starts soon. We need some action UR very quiet. Why don't the media, push for answers? Always fans on this forum asking the pertinent questions and giving good responses. The local press seem to do very little.
