Re: Team v Glsagow

Dont see what the attraction is in having D'arcy anywhere near the squad....if his first few games are anything to go by he is very dodgy under a high ball, quite ball greedy and not aware of those in space around him....with danielli, wallace and pienaar in the squad the need for d'arcy to be on t...

Re: Ian Humphreys

He can't tackle a fish supper, but he's a better place kicker than NOC, better at getting the backline moving, has a turn of speed and a break. Territorial play is on a par. Both of them are as weak as dishwater though, when the pressure comes on, but at least iHumph has shown he has the potential ...

Re: HEALTH AND SAFETY ?

A subject that seems to come up in various guises and I have made thoughts known: Re: Vuvazela by UlsterJock » Thu Sep 02, 2010 12:07 am Just gettin bleedin fed up with all the rules these days. Do you remember a time not long ago, when you could stand pitch side, take a drink from a bottle which yo...

Re: Squad against the Hairsprays

These and many more questions will be answered tomorrow night. Still in a state of fevoured anticipation but my god the pack are going to have to be magnificent. Could happen. :red: .......Will the 9 be fit enough to keep the speed of service required going even for half the game? is 10 really an u...

Re: What did...

I have an idea to sample something from each vendor in one night, but such an undertaking will require some forward planning and possibly an intense training regime. It'll be tough, but I'll be doing it for Ulster! :red:   a man after my own heart; ihavethebody-434.jpg the only thing is t...

Re: What did...

Planning to forego my usual pre-match meal and sample the delights of the food village on Friday. I think we all ought to support this initiative to prevent a return to the old burger vans. I may even port a verdict.... Dont forget the stalls to the left as you stand on the terrace - those poor boy...

Step height is unchanged. As for eventsec...that's a whole new thread . ......Aye and what's the score with the plain clothes types (no hiviz) with walkie takies, blocking views and staring in at the crowd from pitch-side  One of them at the Leeds game really was beginning to get on my...

Re: Ulster V Hairsprays: let the build up commence!

Posted under an earlier thread - sentiment remains however - LETS START AS WE MEAN TO GO ON... As the day and hour approaches; Look around you as you wear the white and red, feel the pride and hope. Remember this day, this minute and at the end don’t think back with regret. Let every play, every ste...

Re: Starting OH for Hairsprays

Il go NOC from pre season form. Thought he played best game for us last night, and dare i say it, thought he was nearly positive ie a lot flatter dont agree, yes he brought the ball to the gain line, but he ran at an agle an just took precious space away from our outside backs, humphs has his flaws...

Re: Quins v Ulster match thread

not too bad a scoreline but a joke to send such a young side to quins. If we knew that our squad would be so weak then we should have lined up a few easier games. Getting smoked ain't gonna teach the yung uns much. I agree. Seems that BMcL isn't taking these friendlies seriously enough. Is it reall...

Re: Harlequins V Ulster

I have to say I do agree. We have Ospreys up first. Surely the preseason friendlies are a chance to get our first team in a position where they are ready to play their very best and start with a win (winning mentality) under their belt having had the opportunity to fine-tune their performance, rath...

Re: As the Day and Hour approaches...

Good quote. Varsity Blues? No, I just made it up over lunch (you could probably pick out a few motivational speech quotes mixed in amongst it) - looks like I need to watch Varsity Blues though ...mmm nice. :D Cheerleaders with edible coverings now that would sell a few more season tickets I am sure...

As the Day and Hour approaches...

A bit clichéd I know... As the day and hour approaches; Look around you as you wear the white and red, feel the pride and hope. Remember this day, this minute and at the end don’t think back with regret. Let every play, every step be done with outright determination and will to win. Feel the belief ...
